History
MetriCan is a privately held organization. We first opened our doors as a tool shop in 1976, in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, through the visionary partnership of our two founders, Francesco Bosco & Remo Gigliotti. The original business continues today in an 85,000 sq. ft. facility, home to our tool and die manufacturing and design center.
In 1993, we extended our services from tool and die manufacturing to supplying metal stampings and value-added assemblies, with the incorporation of the MetriCan Stamping Company.
In 2001, we added a second facility, located in Burlington Ontario, which today occupies over 100,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space. MetriCan Stamping has seen many phases of expansion since then, as a result of the overwhelming demand for our quality products and services throughout the years.
In 2005 we expanded our operations to Dickson, Tennessee, in order to better serve our US customer base.
In 2009, we again broadened our geographical footprint, opening the newest member of our group of companies, MetriCan Estampados, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Today, this ultra-modern, 100,000 sq. ft. facility is dedicated to the manufacture of metal stamping and value-added assemblies.
We currently have over 750 employees throughout all of our facilities, all of them experts in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of products and services to a widely diverse range of international customers.
