    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The Jr. CAD Administrator assists in the tooling and production quotation process. Provides technical support to the Estimating and Sales team. Ensures high quality standards are continuously maintained. Is responsible for customer CAD data. Makes suggestions and recommendations to improve efficiency and wherever possible prevent problems before they arise. This position is perfect for those looking to enter or re-establish themselves in the automotive parts manufacturing industry.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES

    • Responsible for CAD data management.
    • Responsible for downloading quoting reviews from customers using CAD data and/or GD&T to determine manufacturability of customer product.
    • Responsible for RFQ administration (receive new RFQs, create lead records, prioritize new RFQs)
    • Assist in the tooling and production quotation process.
    • Obtain supplier quotes as required; including paint, coating, heat-treat, fasteners, etc.
    • Provides technical support services to the Sales team.

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Strong knowledge of CAD systems, understanding of 2D and 3D concepts.
    • Intermediate or advance level of Excel required.\
    • Working knowledge of: Vero Visi software, NX, and Catia are an asset.
    • General knowledge of Metal Stamping an asset.
    • General knowledge of Tool & Die building an asset.
    • Working knowledge of GD&T to assess feasibility an asset.
    • Collage Degree or Certification in Engineering design and drafting technology or in a related field through provincial associations of engineering/applied science technologists and technicians is preferred.

    JOB DESCRIPTION


    The Press Inspector is responsible for assisting in the safe operation of metal stamping production. Responsibilities include safely stacking and inspecting automotive metal parts as they are produced and maintaining a clean working environment. Full safety, quality, and production training will be provided.

    SHIFT(S) AVAILABLE


    Weekend Shift: 6:00am to 6:30pm (Friday to Sunday)
    Two-Week Rotation: 5:30am to 4:00pm and 4:30pm to 3:00am (Monday to Thursday)
    Afternoon Shift: 4:30pm to 3:00am (Monday to Thursday)

    SPECIFIC DUTIES


    Stack steel automotive parts in bins as they are produced.
    Inspect parts for deficiencies, burrs, rips and tears.
    Assist the Press Operator as required, during downtime and die change overs.
    Move bins with a handheld tow motor as they fill up and need replacing.
    Other duties as assigned by production supervisor.

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE


    A strong attention to detail.
    Ability to stand and perform repetitive movements for the entirety of a shift.
    Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. max.
    Understand basic written and verbal instructions to complete assigned tasks.
    Previous metal stamping or manufacturing experience an asset.
    Valid Lift Truck Training is an asset but not required.

    COMPENSATION and BENEFITS


    $19.00 per hour
    $0.75 per hour premium for Afternoon Shift

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The Weld Technician accumulates and records test data for materials, devices and products. Performs general department maintenance. The technician is also responsible for complying with ISO & other quality systems procedures, as required.

    SHIFT(S) AVAILABLE

    Nights: Sunday - Thursday, 10:00pm to 6:00am

    SPECIFIC DUTIES - TECHNICIAN

    Responsible for programming, troubleshooting and monitoring robotic/resistance welders; set up of robotic/resistance welders and obtaining first offs.
    Responsible for maintaining steady production flow through the department during the shift.
    Upkeep of daily event log and communication between crews.
    Inspects welded joints and conducts tests to ensure welds meet company standards and customer job specifications.
    Verifies and maintains sufficientsupplies corresponding to the production schedule (i.e.: nuts, bolts, electrodes, etc.) and inform Supervisor on what supplies require replenishing.
    Recommends adoption of new developments and applications to Supervisor and demonstrates practicality of recommendations.
    Records inspection and test results; prepares and submits reports to Supervisor. Examine migwelds with Clemexsystem.
    Ensure that all welding and testing equipment is operating as per manufacturer’s specifications and at peak performance.
    Recommend and implement solutions for weld quality issues.
    Debugging, programming and path editing, repairing and replacing damaged components such as weld guns, electrodes, troubleshoot and develop root cause analysis of machine and welder issues. Interface with maintenance to maximize up time.
    Review of new fixtures/equipment as required.
    General housekeeping.
    Assist Lead Hand in training of operators.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES – WELD SET-UP

    Ensure that all welding and testing equipment is operating per manufacturer’s specifications and peak performance. This includes performing routing maintenance and clearing faults.
    Upkeep of daily event log and communication between crews.
    Understand how to perform all quality inspections and tests (including all weld destructive tests), andrecommend solutions for weld quality issues.
    Review of new fixtures / equipment as required.
    Maintain department in a safe, clean and orderly condition, perform periodic inventory checks to verify inventory quantities and participate in annual inventory.
    Complete daily check list per shift if consumable materials (ietips, welding wire, gas) complete order card inform supervisor (in supervisors absence give to Purchasing).
    Perform cycle counts on consumable materials if required.
    Assist in training, production related topics.
    Report to and assist Supervisor with disciplinary issues as required.
    Any other task set by the Welding Supervisor/Welding Manager.

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    1-2 years of working experience
    Company Policies/Procedures (quality management, health & safety, environmental policies and company rules)
    Operating Work Instructions
    WHMIS Knowledge
    Must understand basic written and verbal instructions to complete his/her assigned tasks.
    May require to be licensed in using forklift and/or overhead crane.

    EDUCATION

    Completed, at least, a technical (2 year) college certificate program or equivalent experience.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The Welding Forklift Driver is to ensure that the staging area is appropriately stocked with components and raw materials. They are responsible for the movement of WIP inventory into and out of the staging area and scanning all material to the designated storage rows. They must ensure that all components and raw materials are present in appropriate quantities at each work cell.

    SHIFT(S) AVAILABLE

    Afternoons: 2pm - 10pm (Monday to Friday)

    SPECIFIC DUTIES

    Ensure that the staging area is appropriately stocked with bins of WIP inventory according to current production requirements.
    Move bins from WIP inventory rows and scan to the staging area.
    Ensure all totes are identified with the corresponding part number label.
    Scan WIP inventory into designated locations.
    Ensure all traceability pertaining to material being consumed is logged into Production Manager.
    Move completed bins to the inspection areas and an empty bin to press area.
    When required, during a changeover, the welding Forklift Operator/Material Handler will clear out raw materials from the shelves in the cell and replace them with the proper materials for the next job.
    Must be able to operate the Forklift and Tugger in a safe and efficient manner.
    Other tasks as assigned by Supervisors.

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    Must be able to operate a Forklift.
    Previous experience working in welding would be an asset.
    Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment.
    Attention to detail is a must in this position.

    COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

    $20 - $21 per hour.

    The Machine Operator works with robotic welding cells to assemble metal automotive components. Responsibilities include ensuring production quotas and quality are met by repeatedly loading and unloading metal components into robotic welding cells. Full safety, quality, and production training will be provided.

    SHIFT(S) AVAILABLE

    We are currently seeking to fill multiple Machine Operator positions for each shift (NO ROTATION):
    Day Shift: 6:00am - 2:00pm Monday to Friday
    Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm - 10:00pm Monday to Friday
    Night Shift: 10:00pm - 6:00am Sunday to Thursday

    SPECIFIC DUTIES

    Safely operate an automatic welding machine
    Feed metal components into welding machine for assembly
    Load assembled parts into bins

    The Millwright is a licensed 433A Industrial Mechanic who supports production by performing maintenance activates. Responsibilities include preventative and predictive maintenance for metal stamping and value-added assembly production.

    SHIFT(S) AVAILABLE

    SPECIFIC DUTIES

    Preventative maintenance, breakdown support and project-based work for metal stamping manufacturing.
    Responsible ensuring the preventative and predictive maintenance program is executed.
    Troubleshoot various pneumatic and hydraulic circuit systems (ex. feed lines at presses, straighteners, de-coilers).
    Maintenance of various machinery, compressors, mechanical systems.
    Familiar with maintenance of facility HVAC equipment, overhead cranes, etc. would be considered an asset.
    Inspect facility equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and potential malfunctions.
    Small fabrication (welding/fitting).

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    Ontario Provincial license as an Industrial Millwright (433A) is required.
    Automotive manufacturing experience is required.
    6-8 years experience in a similar role required.
    Experience with metal stamping and robotic welding is required.
    Fabrication experience considered an asset.
    Self-motivated, reliable and dependable.

    The Press Operator is responsible for the safe operation and set-up of metal stamping production. Responsibilities include transfer die set-up, troubleshooting, and efficient operation of 250T to 1320T presses. Full safety, quality and production training will be provided.

    SHIFT AVAILABLE

    • Day Shift: 6:30 am to 3:00 pm Monday to Friday

    SPECIFIC DUTIES

    • The safe and efficient operation of a transfer metal press (250 to 1320 Ton)
    • Must meet assigned production quotas and requirements
    • Set-up manual, progressive, and linear transfer dies for metal stamping production
    • Maintain production logs and documentation
    • Work with QC personal on ensuring quality is maintained during production and setup
    • Quickly resolve metal stamping production issues, preserving production quotas and timelines

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Automotive metal stamping / manufacturing production experience is required
    • Linear Transfer System experience is an asset
    • Metal stamping production set-up experience, preferably with 600 Ton to 1320 Ton metal transfer presses
    • Familiarity with Quality Documentation / ISO9001 / TS16949
    • Understand basic written and verbal instructions to complete assigned tasks
    • Valid Lift Truck Training is an asset but not required
    • Valid Overhead Crane Training is an asset but not required
